A Place of Support, Inclusion and Joy

We provide an opportunity for caregivers to have short-term RESPITE relief, in a place of belonging, growth and empowerment.

Our inclusive respite and activity centre is a safe, sensory friendly space ensuring comfort and engagement to enrich the lives of those we support.

We understand that every person is unique, which is why we offer a personalized approach to care. This includes specialized care, such as medical support, during our programs.

Our staff are highly qualified, experienced and trained in supporting our children, youth and young adults with varying medical, physical and development disabilities including Autism and Down Syndrome.

  • Caring for an autistic child comes with unique challenges, and having access to the right support services can make a significant difference.

    • 1h Consultations: Helping family members navigatethe complex health system, available funding programs, resources and more!

    • Education: Helping family members, teachers, and peers understand autism and how to support the child.

    • Group Workshops: Learning and connecting with other families with autistic children.

    Children with autism often require various types of support to help them navigate daily life, develop skills, and thrive. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced.

    The Centre was designed for children that may be hypersensitive (overwhelmed by noise, lights, textures) or hyposensitive (seeking intense sensory input).

    • Sensory-friendly environment: offering quiet spaces, dimming lights, and allowing sensory breaks as needed.

    • Sensory tools: noise-canceling headphones, weighted blankets, fidget toys, or textured objects.

    • Structured social opportunities.

    • Encouraged communication (non-verbal cues, visual aids & use of alternative communication devices)

    • Encouraging independence: at a pace suited to the child’s abilities.

    • Managing Meltdowns: Recognizing that meltdowns are often due to sensory overload and providing support rather than discipline.

    • Using coping mechanisms: deep breathing, squeezing stress balls, or having a "safe space" for self-regulation.

    • Positive reinforcement: encouraging desired behaviors through praise, rewards, or structured reinforcement.

      Trained medical support is offered and available at our respite programs.

      We are fully accessible including a medical bed and lift. We offer personal care, g-tube and ng-tube feeds, medication administration tailored to your individual medical needs.

  • Help build independence, develop emotional awareness, self-regulation skills, and social connections through interactive activities.

  • Our Family Events are a Welcoming Experiences for All

    Join us for our Special Inclusive Family Events designed to ensure that individuals of all abilities can fully participate in a welcoming and supportive environment.

  • All of packages are tailored to meet your learning goals and delivered by either a Nurse or our Autism Expert and Disability Consultant.

    An opportunity for workers or caregivers to gain knowledge, proper skills training and support from professionals in order to feel confident caring for those with specific needs.

    Packages include:

    • An initial consultation

    • Customized education and training plan

    • Delivery of a 1 hour one-time education session

    • Access to shared online policy and procedures, educational material and resources for reference

    • On-site training

    • Issuance of Training Completion Certificate

    •  Follow-up support

We can’t wait to launch our new inclusive Sensory Activity Studio opportunities.
You will be able to bring your toddlers, children and youth to drop-ins where you can play, socialize and learn through our unique interactive sensory zones. We will be offering new rich sensory experiences and supports.
